In fact upon further research with Beetles of the Pacific Northwest Part 3, by M. Hatch, believe it may be terminalus..

Source of ID?
If the ID was made based on the American Beetles key, the couplet there is incorrect. West Coast Nycteus species have the 5th tarsomere longer than the 4th, and will not key to Nycteus. This looks like our specimens of Nycteus infumatus. I have never seen a definitive specimen of Euscaphurus, and cannot evaluate whether the other characters in the key are viable.
