Epirrhoe plebeculata

Epirrhoe plebeculata
Vernon, British Columbia, Canada
April 20, 2011
Hanging out in the cheatgrass, photo taken near noon in a grassland.

Moved
Moved from Larentiinae.

Suggest Epirrhoe plebeculata
Appears to have a yellow underwing. The amount of gray in the underwing is quite variable in E. plebeculata quite variable, but the above photo looks similar to this one:

Moved from Moths.

Compare it to Epirrhoe alternata
- White-Banded Carpet Moth 7394. It would be helpful to see the body markings a little better. Also check it with other carpets such as Euphyia intermediata. Good luck.

Thanks
I wish I had taken more photos of it, but this is the only one of this individual that turned out.
