Sometimes called "Soldier Beetles"
According to this vignette by John Pinto these are sometimes called "soldier beetles"...though he points out that name is more properly applied to members of the family Cantharidae. In particular, he states:

"The name soldier beetle derives from their occasional habit of following one another in single file formation.

You captured that behavior here...at least for two individuals (maybe there were more marching in line ahead and behind these two? ;-)
