Thread-waisted wasp Sphecidae - Sphex pensylvanicus - Female

Wasp caught and paralyzed this katydid but had too much trouble moving it through the grass. It flew off after 10 minutes. Do not know if it returned. This was on the trail and many people started walking through this area.
