Eyes
THanks again martin!

Some of these syrphids I'm uncertain, due to eye placement, if it is male or female. How do we tell in this species? Once I know I'll look at my other submissions and sex them too.

That is an easy one... the males of most Syrphidae have the eyes touching on top of the head, while the females have the eyes separated. in the pics here you can clearly see that this is a female...
