Long-horned Beetle - Goes pulcher

Long-horned Beetle - Goes pulcher
Connecticut, USA
August 19, 2004
I guess this is a species of Long-horned Beetle. Was about an inch and 1/2 long. Had a long face, like a grasshopper. Real slow in flight.

Goes?
That's the genus name, not a reference to where it is off to:-) Hahaha. At least I am pretty certain it is Goes sp., certainly in that subfamily of longhorned beetles. Interesting specimen.

Thanks Eric. Got to be a gazillion species in that genus. Dave P.

So it Goes...
Great, thanks Dave and Eric. I have photos of one of these but had not a clue as to the genus. Yanega has good illustrations of the genus. I'll try to figure out Dave's and mine and write the guide pages.
