Desert cockroach Arenivaga sp male 2 - Arenivaga erratica - male

Desert cockroach Arenivaga sp male 2 - Arenivaga erratica - Male
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego County, California, USA
March 19, 2007
Size: BL 19.5 mm
This male desert cockroach was seen flying around a light at the Borrego Palm Springs campground at night. We think it is an Arenivaga sp. My question is whether it is the same species as #605457 or a different species. It seems slightly shorter, broader and darker. I am grateful for any comments.

Moved tentatively...
...based on the expert ID (by Heidi Hopkins) of another specimen from the same general area
Moved from Cockroaches and Termites.

Heidi Hopkins says:
"The males are Arenivaga, same species, but I would need to see them to give species designation. The female may be Eremoblatta, but I need to look at her to be sure. She is more likely Eremoblatta than Arenivaga. Lovely photos--wish I could get the specimens!"
