This stonefly was in the mixed Redwood/Tanoak/evergreen forest canyons near the Pacific Ocean.

Hesperoperla hoguei
For now, anyway. My colleague, plecopterist John Sandberg, and I have examined a specimen from the North Fork Garcia River (also in Mendocino County) that matches this one pretty well. The color pattern differs a bit from that of the Hesperoperla hoguei that I posted last year, in particular, note the two black spots on the head.
