Help! - Megachile sculpturalis

Help! - Megachile sculpturalis
Peace Valley Nature Center, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
June 30, 2006
This bee confuses me with that snout and those markings. I never saw one like it. About the size of a large bumblebee. Too bad I only got one shot.
Southeastern PA
Hymenoptera Anthophila Megachilidae Megachile sulpturalis representative

Giant Resin Bee.
Nice shot of a giant resin bee, Megachile sculpturalis. Strangely, nearly all of the images in Bugguide are of males. Hard to tell which gender this one is. Please keep shooting:-)

Thank you
It left the scene too soon.
