Green Beauty - dorsal - Misumessus lappi - female

Green Beauty - dorsal - Misumessus lappi - Female
Wimberley, Hays County, Texas, USA
May 13, 2011
Size: 7mm
Collected from Ashe Juniper. Wouldn't eat crickets, but would eat fruit flies, devouring them rapidly. The epigynum is so small I couldn't tell it was an adult until I gave up trying to fatten it up for molting and dunked it in alcohol.

Likely the female of this male:

Misumessus
Thank you! Very nice eye arrangement shots for this genus. I don't suppose you have a view of the eyes from the front?

unusual nose
Oh, don't assume that the protruding nose is characteristic for the genus! I meant to document an uncommon character.

I probably do have a portrait shot somewhere, will look...

Thanks

Not calling Misumessus to species
I'm not calling Misumessus to species at this time due to some complexities I'm seeing.

Misumessus sp.
Definitely Misumessus, but per the discussion on the page for the mentioned male, it's not clear whether this is oblongus or some not-yet-described species.
