hey guys, thanks for the info!! this guy had just come out of his cocoon a couple of hours before the pic was taken, i enjoyed watching his wings unfurl, a great experience!!

After severe cropping and color correction, certainly looks like an Edwards' Wasp Moth - Hodges #8270, common throughout south Florida.
