This one sent my wife screaming into the next room - Female
Savannah, on Wilmington Island, Chatham County, Georgia, USA
June 30, 2006
Size: 2.4 cm body. Total 6 cm.
Looks to me like a Hogna, possibly aspersa. Found below my porch light on the ground, past midnight. Like other wolf spiders, she is very fast. Five of the older spiderlings decided to leave mother's back while photographing.
