Gracillariidae - Caloptilia umbratella

Gracillariidae - Caloptilia umbratella
100 Acre Wood, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
July 26, 2010
Caloptilia umbratella or maybe a Ribes feeder as per the MicroLeps site.
I have both maples and gooseberries about.
I think this might be what I've been finding in the house as well.

T. Harrison says these are either Caloptilia umbratella or the Ribes feeder. and adds: "I would suggest establishing a page for Caloptilia umbratella, because it is a named species, and mentioning on that page that there is an externally indistinguishable species that feeds on Ribes.
