Thanks to all!
Thanks to everyone involved here. It is this sort of interaction that makes mothing such fun.

You Got It!
Gary,
This
planthopper
was one of my favorites. Lois O'Brien finally had to be called in on this Panamanian beauty. When finally ID'd, Vasili said, "I think that was thrill and fun for all. let's celebrate. drinks on me."

4938 - Epicorsia oedipodalis
Identified by Jim Hayden, Curator of the Florida State Collection of Arthropods, McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity, Gainesville, to whom I sent the photograph. I have had his specimen photos of this and 15 more species sitting in a file folder for more than a month while I finished working on distribution mapping data. Had these photos been on the MPG plates and species pages (as they will be in a few days) we would most likely have IDed this moth all by ourselves. :-)

H. marculenta is a fairly good fit, but I am still not sure.
