Pyraustine Crambid - Epicorsia oedipodalis

Pyraustine Crambid - Epicorsia oedipodalis
Hobe Sound, Martin County, Florida, USA
December 21, 2011
Size: 20 mm forewing length
Anyone know what this is? I can't seem to get to an ID. Any input appreciated.

Thanks to all!
Thanks to everyone involved here. It is this sort of interaction that makes mothing such fun.

You Got It!
Gary,
This planthopper was one of my favorites. Lois O'Brien finally had to be called in on this Panamanian beauty. When finally ID'd, Vasili said, "I think that was thrill and fun for all. let's celebrate. drinks on me."

Thanks Bob!

Gary, this is a very nice addition to Bug Guide!
Thanks!

Too Funny
I verified tribe with BP and started adding page when suddenly it appeared ... before I hit submit. and then ...

I had sent this to Bob Patterson who was kind enough
to help us out! Thanks Robert!

4938 - Epicorsia oedipodalis
Identified by Jim Hayden, Curator of the Florida State Collection of Arthropods, McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity, Gainesville, to whom I sent the photograph. I have had his specimen photos of this and 15 more species sitting in a file folder for more than a month while I finished working on distribution mapping data. Had these photos been on the MPG plates and species pages (as they will be in a few days) we would most likely have IDed this moth all by ourselves. :-)

Hahncappsia?
nice shot...

Thanks for that suggestion
H. marculenta is a fairly good fit, but I am still not sure.
