Dicyrtomina minuta forma ornata
A very interesting specimen. Note the distinct white feet. Note the mottled appearance of the pigmentation. These are an indication that a new cuticula is being formed underneath the old one. The old cuticula is partly recycled. This happens inbetween the skinlayer (epidermis) and cuticula, therefore the mottled look. New claws are formed inside the old ones. The skin detaches from the old cuticula and the new claws are retracted upwards, thus giving the white colour of the feet. The specimen will soon moult.
