Perhaps a Chrysops vittatus or Chrysops shermani? Any help with additional ID appreciated. Thanks.

I appreciate
the help in making the ID and moving the photo. Thanks.

Chrysops sequax Williston
The specimen shown is probably Chrysops sequax Williston. The wing pattern is right and Arkansas is within the distribution range of the species. The wing pattern is distinctive.

Thanks John
I'll move it

Chrysops sequax maybe
John Burger was wandering by and says maybe C. sequax.

Definitely neither
of the 2 species you name!
shermani has a 'diluted' wing pattern; in vittatus the hyaline triangle does not reach wing margin.

Thanks
Thanks for the additional ID info.
