Unknown True Bug - Eurychilopterella brunneata

Unknown True Bug - Eurychilopterella brunneata
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
November 3, 2011
Size: 4-5 mm
Found on trunk of gum tree. This little character had me going in circles trying to find it in the Guide. I first thought it could be a tree-hopping bug, but it's far too large and the "face" is all wrong. It looks like a Mirid to me, but, truthfully, I'm clueless.....It didn't appear to be looking for anything in particular, just wandering around the trunk without stopping. Anyone familiar with this guy?
