Scud #2 - Crangonyx richmondensis

Scud #2 - Crangonyx richmondensis
Dismal Swamp State Park, Camden County, North Carolina, USA
January 17, 2012

Moved from Crangonyx.

Moved from Amphipods.

Definitely a Crangonyx sp., one of the richmondensis group spp. based on those large gnathopods, of which I believe C. richmondensis is the only species in NC.

Moved from Scuds.

Reminds me of Crangonyx gracilis
See this source. Note that it's listed there as Eucrangonyx gracilis but it's just an outdated name for it. Also look at my submission.
