Specific name querci derived from the genus name of oaks (Quercus).
Food
Larvae bore and tunnel in spongy galls found on
Mexican blue oak (
Quercus oblongifolia Torr., Fagaceae) and
Arizona white oak (
Quercus arizonica Sarg.).
