Explanation of Names
Specific name querci derived from the genus name of oaks (Quercus).

Food
Larvae bore and tunnel in spongy galls found on Mexican blue oak (Quercus oblongifolia Torr., Fagaceae) and Arizona white oak (Quercus arizonica Sarg.). (1)
