Size: 4-5 mm.
Found living in vernal pools in some old growth forest.

This is most likely the larva of Acilius or Thermonectus...don't have my refs right now but I'm leaning towards Thermonectus..Will come back to this!

Let me see what photos of local adults I have. I don't have many, but there should be some somewhere.
