Images of this individual: tag all
Chrysomelidae - Rhabdopterus Chrysomelidae (maybe), feeding pattern - Rhabdopterus Chrysomelidae, dorsal - Rhabdopterus Chrysomelidae, lateral - Rhabdopterus Chrysomelidae, head & pronotum - Rhabdopterus

it seems that the two spp. differ only in the shape of aedeagus
based on literature, both share the same food plants and both can be expected in IA

Thanks.
I don't know how different insects feed. Any way of knowing not just the different host plants but the pattern or method, like in different types of leaf mines, along with host plants, can help determine the fly or lep species that is feeding. I guess what I am asking is: should I frass the leaf herbivory photo as it may have no connection at all to this species.
