I found a similar larva (espe
I found a similar larva (especially with those markings on top, though much fainter), and was looking at possibly Mythimna unipuncta or Metaxaglaea viatica. I.e. I found pictures of those two that looked somewhat similar. Best of luck!

Ah! You need the new Wagner Owlet book!
We haven't tried to tackle the cutworms yet, though. Sorry. Many similar species. But we may get brave soon :)

Brown-collared Dart?
It looks a lot like Protolampra brunneicollis on page 550 and it's found from Alberta to Nova Scotia south to Georgia.
