Weevil - Sciopithes obscurus

Weevil - Sciopithes obscurus
Alameda County, California, USA
January 27, 2012
Size: 6.2 mm bl
On blackberry leaf, afternoon. Looks similar to Fuller's rose beetle, common here, except that abdomen is a larger fraction of body size and has a dark marking; and this weevil didn't drop its antennae limply to the substrate when photographed.
