Is this Paracotalpa deserti - Edrotes ventricosus

Is this Paracotalpa deserti - Edrotes ventricosus
Moapa 50 miles north of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, USA
January 28, 2012
Size: 9 mm long
I'm looking for an indentification confirmation OR other options. Using Evans and Hogue Field Guige to Beetles of California, this matches pretty well the description for P. deserta as a Little Bear scarab, "black" and occurring in "February and March" in creosote-bursage vegetation in Mojave Desert habitat. Of the four Paracotalpa species, P. deserta has by far the fewest images on line.
