Size: 7mm
I collected this beetle many years ago. It was one of several found on some Jimson Weed (Datura stramonium) plants.

Pobably not Datura stramonium
Around here the most likely species is Datura wrightii

... for the correct species ID for the host plant of this weevil. I did a Cal Flora map distribution check for both Datura species and Datura wrightii was the species for San Diego county by way more than a long shot! : )
