Acronicta lanceolaria

Acronicta lanceolaria
Ocean County, New Jersey, USA
April 30, 2010
The wing tips drooped slightly on this specimen, so the wing shape is distorted in the picture. This moth has much longer and more pointed wings than the picture would suggest. (Wing shape distinguishes this species from other Dagger Moths.)
