Pterophoridae - Paraplatyptilia

Pterophoridae - Paraplatyptilia
Plymouth Rock, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
September 4, 2010
At the time I collected 1 larva on swamp betony, Pecidularis lanceolata, I did not realize I had collected more than one. A second adult emerged Aug 30, 2010 (froze, still somewhere in the insect freezer). This is the third adult which emerged Sept 2, 2010, was photographed Sept 4 and it flew away (again, before I finished photographing it).
