Antlion from Western Mass - Myrmeleon immaculatus

Antlion from Western Mass - Myrmeleon immaculatus
Haydenville, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
June 25, 2011
Size: roughly 1 cm
I kept a couple of antlions last summer. This one was in its last instar before pupating. Unfortunately, when it emerged as an adult, it fell into a neighboring antion's pit and was badly damaged before I found it.
