Cattail bug - Chilacis typhae

Cattail bug - Chilacis typhae
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
February 7, 2012
Size: 4.5 mm
I found a bunch of these bugs inside a cattail head near Boundary Bay. They are fast runners, very active. This was one of the largest, still alive, but sluggish, having been bitten by a spider. I will submit a possible nymph separately.
