DAAMMNN!!
thats an awesome shot. Perfect specimen

man how do you get the whole mosquito to focus. i set aperture on the lowest setting but the shutter takes, literally minutes to open back up. and i have to stay still the whole time.

Flash
Sounds like you need some supplemental flash. With the aperture so small, you have to pump in some light to get a good exposure. Since you have a hot shoe, I would reccommend getting a hot shoe flash, you can probably get one pretty cheap. Then something to dampen the flash down a little bit would probably help, try some cloth or tissues. Then experiment with flash and aperture (I can only go to f8) as well as ISO (the higher, the easier for low light exposure, but also more noise). Anyway, just play around. But supplemental light is what you need.
