Spined Micrathena - Micrathena gracilis

Spined Micrathena - Micrathena gracilis
North Attleboro, Massachusetts, USA
One of two current residents in my garden, anyone know whether it's male or female?

Female
Nice shot. According to Kaston (1) this is a female. Males are smaller with a narrower abdomen, and lack the spines.
