The image you found matches better than those I found.
Botocudo modestus
looks like an excellent candidate.
The only other
Botocudo
species recorded from, and native to, mainland U.S.A. is
B. delineatus
, whose markings appear more angular, but its patterning is likely variable.
Let's hope Dr. Sweet has a look.
