sweet little illegal angel
Moved tentatively from Snout and Bark Beetles --can't help myself; will seek expert review.

interesting
Cossoninae is my first impression, not entirely sure though

Cossoninae
That looks like the right subfamily. I'll save the specimen in case it's needed for an id.

If no
one has spoken up for it, I would like it. thanks.

It's already spoken for
I'm saving it for my friend at UNH:-)

perfect
Tom, i'm so happy to see hundreds of your photos in Art Evans's upcoming guide...

Beetles of Eastern North America
Art's been busy lately getting the book written up and done by the end of April. So hopefully it will be out this summer.
It'll be a nice addition to my library, and I won't even have to buy it:-)

well, that's for sure...

Bob seems to be away:
haven't heard from him since early Jan., i think
he was longing about some paraiso tropical for quite some time, the guy hates winter.
anyway, the weevil belongs in your holdings anyway

Pselactus spadix (Herbst)

awesome. thanks, Bob.
it turns out, i got banned from Bob's mailbox that treated my messages as junk.
