Nick, I assume "Caliadurgus fasciatellus" is still a syn. of C. hyalinatus?

Other way around...
Because of a strange nomenclatorial quirk neither the genus
Calicurgus
, nor the specific epithet
hyalinatus
can be applied to this species. I thought it was a very strange situation because it is often only a genus that gets buried in synonymy. I believe the British author M.C. Day (this species is holarctic) is the one who explains this but I cannot remember the name and year of that piece of literature (maybe around 1980?). The genus
Calicurgus
is still valid but I believe it applies only to a handful of South American species. In any case, because of priority
Caliadurgus fasciatellus
is the valid name.

Yes...
That guide page was created before I was aware of Day's argument for the usage of this name.
Caliadurgus hyalinatus
was a valid name at that point (and some still use this name). Apparently once a guide page has been created the name cannot be changed without contacting the administrator. Since there is only one North American species I didn't think it was important enough to contact John VanDyk to have it changed. That is, there is going to be little confusion of where to put images, regardless of the name used.
