Size: 4mm
Found outside on side of house, place is surrounded with huge grass seed fields. Was using its strange balloon-like antennae like "feelers". Moved real fast. (Is it some kind of seed eating bug? Maybe an immature?)

Right...
This is the nymphal form of H. planicornis. I found one of these in Medford trying not to be seen on an apple leaf. They are very fast and elusive as you mentioned, and not often encountered.
