Found on wild turkey. No other data, but possibly from NY.

try Menacanthus stramineus (chicken body louse)
has been known from wild turkey. most of my references are limited to parasites of public health importance, so specimens from wild animals may present with diagnostic difficulties for me.

awesome
last night i was showing bird louse pics to my kid, and he's found them amazing, too. but he's more into computers and tanks, alas.
so we still need an expert ))))
