I don't make species ID's in this Genus, but this is one I have actually had identified for me. I think this is .

I was leaning towards as we have a potted geranium on our porch that I've seen pterophorids on. I should have included this in my remarks. If the artichoke plume moths will also use other thistles, they could be a possibility too; although, they would have to fly further.
