this using a slightly different optics set-up - Nikon CFI (infinity focus) 10x/0.25 Plan objective, on a 55-250mm f/4 zoom lens (acting as tube lens for objective) zoomed to 250mm, yielding about 1.83mm across an APS-C sensor, or about 12x. Hand stepped (saves time) on a Nikon "A" stand vs. using a compound microscope stage and fine focus. I don't see too much focus bracketing, so I guess this will work.
