Formerly under
Stictotarsus
until very recently (see Angus 2010). Many species in your area and I can't see enough of the diagnostic characters to make a more specific ID. I can probably eliminate B. striatellus as I can't see the diagnostic impressed subsutural striae; body proportions and vestiture also don't seem right for that species..my guess is B. aequinoctialis which is widespread in the southwest and extremely variable in color, based on a series of specimens I have here from Gil Challet.

Sorry, this one isn't the finest image. I believe B. aequinoctialis is common in the area this one was collected from. I'll check into it further and see if I can confirm.
