Identification
The two species are quite different on the underside: P. texana has a prominent ridge across the face between the eyes, the beak is longer than the rest of the head, and the second hind metatarsomere is 4 times as long as the apical hind tarsomere. (Andy Hamilton, pers. comm., 2010)
