ladybug - Brachiacantha dentipes

ladybug - Brachiacantha dentipes
VERY Eastern Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA
March 12, 2012
Size: 1/8th inch ish
My guess is Brachiacantha dentipes, but ladybugs are so variable I'm not going to put it there unless someone agrees.
Thanks. Lots in this area and many mating pairs.

thanks for moving this.... I got busy and forgot to do it.

Yes, Brachiacantha dentipes
Well, everything else aside, this is indeed B. dentipes. It seems a little small, 1/8 inch being in the 3-4 mm range and B. dentipes usually closer to 5-6 mm (~1/4 inch), but it's a male and they're usually at the small end of the size range.

J&J no aplogy needed. But I don't think my comment needs explaining. The picture is from Tampa. Not Zephyrhills or Pebble Creek. The very Eastern edge of Tampa.

We're obviously missing something here
and we apologize for being offensive in some way. But we must admit, we don't know how we've erred. If you could find the time at some point, it would be helpful to us to know what we did wrong. But we do want you to know that we were just trying to understand the location of this beauty better. Sorry, J&J

Can't deal with it. Just trying to be as helpful as possible.

We don't think that was sarcastic
We actually had the same question. From looking at Google maps we took it to be east of Pebble Creek, almost to Zephyrhills??

"VERY Eastern Tampa" =??

Yes.
Why did you take time and effort to write that?
Are you from Tampa?
Do you know what Tampa is like?
Maybe you shouldn't make sarcastic remark's if you don't understand the comment. To me.... it helps describe the location..... as it does for anyone from here.
