This is an immature male, and these spiders usually have to be mature before you can distinguish between the two species with any reasonable certainty (based on the adult palp). However, there is a good chance that this one is Trochosa terricola. According to the 2010 Canada spider species list, T. terricola is the only species found so far in New Brunswick.
