Butterfly to ID if possible - Asterocampa leilia - Male
Sabino Canyon, Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, USA
March 13, 2012
Found this butterfly while on a visit to AZ. Would appreciate knowing what it is, there is a close resemblance to Empress Leilia markings but not the main color.

For this one, you should Edit
and enter Pima in the County Field and move Sabino Canyon to the same line as Tucson, such as "Sabino Canyon, Tucson" for location

a male
Moved from ID Request.

Looks like
Empress Leilia (Asterocampa leilia)
