Spiny
Actually Lois I think this is a Flag-tailed Spinyleg. I think you can see the characteristic spines on the rear leg.

I posted to an odonata listserve and they confirmed Southeastern Spinyleg. Thanks for pointing out those spines, I didn't even see them. I'm moving to that page.

 
I don't know
The markings on the abdomen didn't seem to fit that (I'm not sure it occurs here either) nor Southeastern Spinyleg. On Flag-tailed it seems it should have rings around the abdomen and for Southeastern it would have markings along the sides of the abdomen. This is Flag-tailed Spinyleg and really doesn't seem to fit. This is Southeastern Spinyleg here. I admit, the Southeastern is closer and I do now see the spines on the legs.
