Size: approx 6 mm body length
Midge (family Chironomidae possibly Orthocladiinae)- The Great Swamp, Chatham, New Jersey
Relatively small approx 5 - 6 mm) perched on the knee end of a White-tail deer femer sticking out of the marsh.
It should also be noted that there was a small (3 - 4 ft wide), near by, slow moving stream (aprox 5 ft/min).
