Size: ~ 3cm
found many of these on an ornamental tree with hanging purple flowers. Still trying to ID the tree as well. Some larvae appeared to have made loose silk nests. Attempting to rear if additional photos are required.

I do believe the host is Sophora secundiflora. The yellowed leaves had me scratching my head but I know this tree produces the pods with hard red beans and the flowers match well. Hope I can get a nice series on this one. Thanks again.
