Horse/Deer fly
Looks like a Tabanidae deer or horse fly. There are a couple experts who should be able to give you the exact species. Absolutely amazing shot, what kind of macro do you use.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope one of the experts will know the Genus/species. I have a couple of macro lenses that I use with my Canon 20D. The one I used for this shot is a MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro Photo at full 5x. My other macro is a Canon EF 180mm f/3.5L Macro USM. They are both great lenses but the 180 just can't compete with the 65mm when it comes to really little things that need more than 1x magnification.

I don't know what it is, but that's a great shot of the eyes.
