Scorpionfly? - Ctenophora apicata

Scorpionfly? - Ctenophora apicata
Connecticut, USA
I have been looking for this ID for over a year now. Can't find an image anywhere. At first I thought it was a cranefly sp. Beak in front reminds me of a Scorpionfly, a little. Anyone seen these before?

Moved from Ctenophora.

Wood-boring crane fly
This IS a cranefly, probably a male Ctenophora sp. Can tell it is a male by the bulbous end of the abdomen, and, in this particular genus, the comb-like (pectinate) antennae. Very atypical for crane flies in that the legs are proportionately much shorter.

Thanks Eric. Sure glad that I found you guys. This site makes an amateur's life easier. Dave P.
