As a follow up. I have added one additional image, # 3656. I believe this species is Osmia chalybea, which has been photographed gathering underneath pollen from a primary food source Yellow Thistle, Circium horridulum.

I might point out Skidaway Island is a Ga. barrier island located app 4 miles from the Atlantic ocean. The 3 1/4 acre Sparrow Field, where species is located is sandy and app 100 yards south of the Wilmington river

I will attempt to re-locate and acquire more detailed images of the wing, etc of this rapidly moving bee as it gathers pollen. Thank you
