Moved from Tortricid Moths.

Tentative ID by Michael Sabourin.

Perhaps #3602?
I'm not the expert to make such a comment, but as I try to accommodate my presumed Argyrotaenia floridana I can't help but find a better fit for your moth among Agyrotaenia pinatubana.
Edit: Probably not!

What does the "Probably not!" edit mean?

It may not be IDable. The fringe is pretty much worn off and I'm not sure what other details may be gone. I agree that this is not a great match for floridana but I can't say if pinatubana is much better. The best match I could find is A. amatana.

I sent it to Bob Patterson who in turn sent it to Michael Sabourin. Here is the quote from Michael Sabourin: "...the markings on the second [specimen] plus the thoracic tuft suggests Argyrotaenia. I also thought of Archips georgiana. However the forewing markings, costal width of median fascia, and lack of a visable costal fold have me leaning toward : Argyrotaenia floridana"

Per Bob Patterson "His ID of 3599 - Argyrotaenia floridana should be marked [T] for tentative, it's a leaner." He subsequently added it to the MPG page.

Did you post your own image? I'd like to see it.

Thanks for your comment.
I'll post mine today in Moths and would appreciate your opinion.
My "probably not" meant that after looking again at pinatubana I was no longer comfortable with my suggestion that it would fit among them.
